Kuwaiti open banking platform Spare has partnered with Bahraini payment services provider EazyPay to enable Spare merchants in Bahrain to accept open banking payments.
Customers of Spare’s merchants in Bahrain will be able to make payments directly from their bank account, while EazyPay will also leverage Spare’s open banking connections to provide new products and services to its customers.
Founded in 2018, Spare provides a personal finance app and an open banking payment solution for businesses. The company recently joined the Saudi Central Bank’s open banking regulatory sandbox.
EazyPay is a point-of-sale and online payment gateway acquiring service provider established in 2016. Both companies are licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain.
“We are thrilled to have EazyPay on board with us for open banking services,”
said Abdulaziz Alothman, General Manager, Spare.
“We are excited to partner with Spare, in line with our ongoing commitment to deliver beyond conventional payment practices and innovative solutions with the ease and speed that customers want,”
said Nayef Tawfiq Al Alawi, Founder & CEO, EazyPay.
