Presight, a global big data analytics company specialising in AI, has signed a MoU with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) to support the Presight AI Startup Accelerator.
The partnership is designed to foster the growth of AI startups by combining Presight’s applied AI infrastructure and expertise with the academic and research capabilities of MBZUAI.
Through this collaboration, both organisations aim to contribute to the development of a wider AI innovation ecosystem.
As part of the agreement, MBZUAI will introduce AI-focused startups from its network to the Presight AI Startup Accelerator.
The university will also take part in the selection process for startup candidates. Startups accepted into the programme will have access to technical advisory resources from MBZUAI, including faculty and researchers with expertise in areas such as natural language processing, large language models, and computer vision.
Presight will help connect selected startups to MBZUAI researchers for potential advisory roles.
The agreement will also create internship and employment opportunities for MBZUAI students within startups supported by Presight.
In turn, startups will be able to engage with MBZUAI’s student talent pool.
Both organisations will explore opportunities to co-host events and workshops focused on artificial intelligence research, entrepreneurship, and knowledge transfer.
MBZUAI will contribute subject matter experts and mentors to support the accelerator’s programmes.
Thomas Pramotedham, Chief Executive of Presight, said:

“By combining our real-world AI deployment capabilities with MBZUAI’s cutting-edge research and academic depth, we are creating a multiplier effect that will accelerate the growth of startups and catalyse the UAE’s broader AI ambitions. This is more than collaboration, it is a fusion of expertise that strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a global epicentre for applied AI.”
Sultan Al Hajji, Senior Adviser to the MBZUAI President, added:

“This collaboration provides technical advisory and talent access to drive real-world impact. It also offers students and researchers opportunities to engage directly with the region’s most promising ventures, creating pathways for shared learning and growth.”
This agreement follows Presight’s recent collaboration with Microsoft, which offers cloud capabilities, infrastructure and market support for startups in the accelerator.
