Huru, a UAE-based fintech company licensed by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), has entered the market with the aim of serving the country’s unbanked and underbanked communities through a comprehensive financial management app.
The company seeks to address long-standing gaps in access to essential financial services and promote financial inclusion.
The platform integrates payments, remittance, and savings features in a single application.
With a valid Emirates ID, users can open a zero-balance IBAN account within minutes, without minimum balance requirements or hidden fees, to receive their salaries.
Each user is provided with a Visa ATM card, which includes one free withdrawal per month.
The app allows users to transfer money within the UAE, send funds abroad, pay local and international bills, and create “Saving Pots” for specific goals.
For employers, Huru provides an alternative to traditional payroll systems by enabling salary payments directly into zero-balance IBAN accounts.
This approach helps businesses maintain compliance with wage protection regulations while supporting employee wellbeing and financial access.

“Huru was built in the UAE, for the UAE,”
said Badr Al Ghurair, Founder of Huru.
“This country has long been a place where people come to build a better life for themselves and their families. Yet too often, they are held back by financial systems that don’t fully serve their needs. Our vision is to change that, to give them the tools and confidence to manage, save, and grow their money.”
Looking ahead, Huru plans to expand its services beyond digital payments and savings.
The company intends to introduce loan products for individuals with limited access to formal credit, as well as partnerships offering affordable medical consultations and community check-ups.
By combining regulatory oversight with a customer-focused model, Huru aims to provide accessible and transparent financial services to communities that play a vital role in the country’s economy.
