Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) 2025, hosted by ADGM, continued on its second day with Asset Abu Dhabi, bringing together global asset managers and capital allocators to examine emerging investment opportunities and the future of asset allocation.
Emmanuel Givanakis, CEO of ADGM’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority, highlighted Abu Dhabi’s growing role in global asset management, noting its combination of regulation, innovation and strategic position.
He said,

“Asset Abu Dhabi reflects the growing convergence of global capital and innovation, convening the world’s most sophisticated asset managers at a time of profound change in finance. It stands as a symbol of Abu Dhabi’s emergence as a trusted hub in the reengineering of global capital networks and the future of asset management.”
Sessions explored private equity, hedge funds, sovereign capital, real assets, and digital investments.
They also examined the influence of technology and sustainability on economic transformation.
Industry leaders including Todd Boehly, Robert Smith, Sir Christopher Hohn, and Hussain Sajwani discussed how macroeconomic cycles, technological advances, and geopolitical shifts will shape investment strategy.
Hedge fund specialists Aron Landy, Shiv Srinivasan, and Robyn Grew examined the role of data, AI, and analytics in risk management.
A session on wealth transfer, featuring Stefan Bollinger and Chi Man Kwan, addressed the projected US$84 trillion in intergenerational wealth and how it will reshape global economies.
The inaugural NYU Global Financial Centre Competitiveness Index ranked Abu Dhabi 12th globally and first in MENA. The index highlighted top scores for regulatory innovation, institutional environment, and business support incentives.
The International Family Office Congress and the AIMA Private Credit Summit convened global leaders to discuss family office trends, private capital, and the expanding private credit market.
Key announcements included the launch of Abu Dhabi’s FinTech, Insurance, Digital and Alternative Assets (FIDA) cluster.
Circle Internet Group secured a Financial Services Permission licence, BBVA received In-Principle Approval, and 23 new MoUs were signed with local and international partners such as Finstreet, Franklin Templeton, Mubadala, Mastercard, and MBank.
ADFW will continue over the next two days with Fintech Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum events.
