Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) and Bolt are launching digital ride-hailing services in Abu Dhabi, marking the next stage of their UAE platform expansion following strong growth in app-based bookings.
The rollout will begin with limousine services, allowing users to book premium rides through the Bolt app.
Taxi services will follow in the coming weeks, integrating multiple fleet operators into a unified digital booking system.
The move into the capital follows a sustained increase in digital mobility adoption across the UAE.
In 2025, DTC recorded a 24% year-on-year increase in e-hailing activity across its fleet, driven by a shift toward digital booking channels.

“Abu Dhabi is a natural next step for Bolt in the UAE,”
said Vasilis Hadjiaslanis, General Manager of Bolt UAE.
“This milestone gives residents and visitors in the capital access to a service that is fast, convenient, and built around their needs.”
The e-hailing momentum continued into the first quarter of 2026, with activity rising a further 9% year-on-year.
The growth reflects the long-term potential of digital transport services and app-based mobility in the region.
The Abu Dhabi expansion is supported by the partnership’s recent scaling in Dubai, where 1,823 National Taxi vehicles were integrated into the Bolt platform in early 2026.
The integration aims to increase vehicle availability and support the UAE’s broader transition toward smart mobility.
