Saudi Venture Capital (SVC) has appointed Nora Alsarhan as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 July 2026.
The transition is part of a structured leadership succession plan overseen by the board to ensure continuity and support the ongoing growth of the private capital ecosystem.
Alsarhan succeeds Dr Nabeel Koshak, who has led the institutional investment firm since 2019.
Alsarhan brings tracking records in private capital investment management and financial advisory services to the CEO role.
Since joining the firm in June 2019, she has held several leadership positions, serving most recently as Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer.
In her previous executive roles, Alsarhan helped shape the strategy of the company, leading its investment agenda and overseeing institutional performance, governance, and strategic planning.
The board expressed its appreciation to Dr Koshak for his contributions since 2019, noting that his tenure was fundamental in establishing operations and developing capabilities.
Under his leadership, the firm experienced expansion in investment activity. Dr Koshak will continue to support the company and will retain his seat on the board.
The institutional investor has played a central role in positioning Saudi Arabia as a regional leader in venture capital investment. Venture capital funding within the Kingdom grew 26-fold between 2018 and 2025.
The firm has backed more than 65 funds across venture capital, private equity, venture debt, and private credit.
These funds have collectively invested in more than 1,000 startups and small to medium-sized enterprises to support economic diversification.
