Bank of Singapore is appointing Lim Leong Guan to lead its private banking business in the Middle East and South Asia.
The move is part of the bank’s strategy to increase its global ultra-high-net-worth assets under management by 30% by 2028.
Lim will take on the role of Head of Private Banking for the Middle East, South Asia and International on 1 July 2026.
He will be based in Dubai and will also serve as Chief Executive of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) branch, subject to regulatory approval.
The appointment follows a Capgemini Research Institute report indicating that the ultra-high-net-worth population grew by 9.4% in 2025.
Bank of Singapore aims to capture this wealth expansion in the Middle East alongside its core Asian markets.
Lim will work alongside Rickie Chan, Head of Private Banking for Greater China and North Asia, and Vi Sun Yang, the incoming Head of Private Banking for ASEAN.
Lim has spent 35 years in private banking and joined Bank of Singapore in 2020.
As Global Head of Financial Intermediaries, Family Office and Wealth Advisory, Lim led his team to more than double assets under management in the intermediaries segment within two years.
Before joining Bank of Singapore in 2020, he spent 25 years at UBS Wealth Management. During his tenure, he held several senior management roles, including Asia Pacific Head of Wealth Planning.

“Appointing him to lead the Dubai team underscores its importance as a key hub alongside Singapore and Hong Kong,”
said Jason Moo, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Singapore.
Digital platforms and intermediary leadership
Following Lim’s new appointment, Annabelle Chow will step up as the global segment lead for the financial intermediaries business.
Chow joined the bank in 2016 and recently oversaw a tripling of the intermediaries team across Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai.
Chow previously spearheaded FIM Alternatives Select, an alternative investment digital platform developed with global fintech iCapital.
The platform provides independent asset managers with access to more than 1,600 funds from over 600 asset managers.
Chow brings 20 years of private banking experience to the role. She previously covered family offices at Credit Suisse and was instrumental in setting up intermediary desks across Asia.
