Emirates NBD has partnered with startup accelerator Techstars to integrate AI and fintech startups directly into its regional operations.
The collaboration uses an “Acceleration-to-Enterprise” model to move startups straight into commercial deployment across compliance, wealth management, SME banking, and capital markets.
The initiative will combine the bank’s analytics infrastructure with Techstars’ global pipeline of more than 11,000 founders.
Selected startups will gain access to the bank’s cloud-native platform to pilot and scale their products. The programme aims to bypass traditional mentorship structures in favour of active enterprise integration.
This development aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), a government roadmap aimed at establishing the city as one of the top four global financial centres by 2033.

“With Dubai now home to nearly 60% of GCC fintech companies, we are pleased to partner with Techstars to tap into and capture fintech’s new wave of innovation in agentic finance,”
said Miguel Rio Tinto, Group Chief Digital and Information Officer, Emirates NBD.
He added that the bank is providing selected startups with a direct pathway into enterprise banking to support solutions for its nine million active customers.

David Cohen, CEO of Techstars, stated:
“By partnering with a proactive, AI-first institution like Emirates NBD, we are giving our fintech and AI founders a front-row seat to one of the most dynamic financial markets in the world.”
The partnership targets scalable technologies that address regulatory compliance and client intelligence across the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye.
