Key Capital has signed an MoU to become a Capital Partner of Hub71, the Abu Dhabi tech hub.
The Hub71 Key Capital partnership builds on two years of joint work that has already linked 14 Hub71 startups with investors in London.
Key Capital is a UAE-based asset manager that invests in VC secondaries. It will connect Hub71 startups with global investors and mentor their founders.
Those that plan to grow abroad will get its backing too. Hub71 may also give Key Capital a role in picking startups and in its programmes and events.
Their work has included Key Trek London, a yearly roadshow Key Capital set up in 2023.
Each edition brings tech firms from the Middle East and North Africa to London to meet investors.
Hub71 first joined the roadshow in 2025. Since then, its startups have had over 120 one-on-one talks with investors from the UK and Europe.
Nine took part this year, namely Thndr, Abhi, NymCard, NodeShift, BioSapien, eVoost AI, FlapKap, Orbii and Synapse Analytics.
Both firms said founders still keep in touch with these investors. Past editions have led to deals too.
For instance, Hub71 startup RemotePass raised funds from the EBRD after being introduced at Key Trek 2024.

“Meaningful investor relationships are central to helping ambitious startups access the capital they need to grow,”
said Ahmad Ali Alwan, CEO at Hub71.

“Our annual roadshow Key Trek creates opportunities for founders to build the strategic relationships they need to scale,”
said Basil Moftah, Managing Partner at Key Capital.
Hub71 expects the deal to give founders in the region steadier access to global capital and markets.
