BlackRock has appointed Dixit Joshi as Managing Director for Middle East Technology and Advisory Solutions, and Digital Assets.
He joins from Credit Suisse, where he was CFO through its combination with UBS, and will be based in Dubai.
In the role, Joshi will grow BlackRock’s Middle East platform across capital markets and technology, including Aladdin, and advance its digital assets strategy across the region and Asia Pacific.
He will also work with regional teams to deepen client relationships.
Joshi brings more than three decades in finance, risk, treasury, trading and capital markets.
He previously held senior roles at Deutsche Bank, including Group Treasurer and Global Head of Prime Finance, and earlier worked at Barclays and Credit Suisse First Boston. He is a former ISDA board member.

“Dixit is one of the most respected leaders in global financial services, with deep expertise across capital markets and risk management. His experience will be invaluable as we grow our platform and deliver our capabilities to local clients,”
said Charles Hatami, Senior Managing Director, Global Head of the Financial & Strategic Investors Group and Head of Middle East at BlackRock.

“The Middle East is building for the long term and creating the market infrastructure of the future. BlackRock brings technology, investment expertise and global reach to that agenda, and I look forward to helping deliver it as digital assets become central to the region’s growth,”
said Dixit Joshi.
The appointment reflects continued investment in the Middle East, which BlackRock calls one of its fastest-growing regions.
