Emirates NBD has opened its VIP Privilege Program to more business banking clients in the UAE.
In the past, the bank offered it only to select clients by invitation. Now, firms can join based on how much they bank with the group.
The change covers all current Business Banking clients and new ones on select packages. Members gain priority service and better rates on fees, plus a set of business and lifestyle benefits.
To join, a firm must earn 100,000 points in the bank’s review year. Points come from deposit, loan and wealth balances.
Foreign exchange and trade finance volumes also count. Firms on the Emirati package earn a 25% bonus on their points.
Since points come from core banking, the model favours SMEs that bank mainly with Emirates NBD.

“With our innovative VIP Privilege Program, we are making a priority banking experience vastly more accessible to our Business Banking clients, based on their active engagement with the bank,”
said Hamad Mohamed Zayed, Group Head of Business Banking at Emirates NBD.
The programme comes with a Visa Infinite Business Debit Card, which the bank calls a first for the MENA region.
Members can reach contact centre staff without delay. They also receive priority at Business Banking Centres.
Each has a relationship manager and can use real-time services on businessONLINE.
In addition, members get discounts on airport services, car hire and business software.
They can use airport lounges, a concierge service and valet parking at major UAE sites.
