Mashreq, one of the leading financial institutions in the UAE, has appointed Radu Topliceanu as its new Head of Neo and Personal Banking. In this role, he will help Mashreq grow its digital bank Neo as well as its Personal Banking Division.
Radu’s responsibilities include developing innovative digital banking propositions, designing customer journeys to deliver superior customer experience, driving customer acquisition, revenue, and profitability, and building synergies with external stakeholders in the digital ecosystem to support Mashreq’s expansion plans.
During his over two decades of retail banking experience, Radu has established himself as a digital banking pioneer, using comprehensive expertise in segment and product management to spearhead multiple successful business model transformations.

Radu spent the last three years with BRD Groupe Société Générale in Romania as Deputy CEO of the bank and Head of Retail Banking, heading a team of 4,000+ professionals serving more than 2 million customers. Previously, he worked in leadership positions with Standard Chartered in Singapore, Sberbank Europe in Austria, and Raiffeisen Bank in Romania and Austria. He holds an MBA from Romanian-American Business School (ASEBUSS) in Bucharest.
