e& enterprise, the digital transformation arm of e& ( formerly Etisalat), has entered a three-year collaboration with PayPal to enhance payment capabilities on its digital payments platform.
This partnership aims to provide businesses in the UAE and beyond with expanded payment options.
Through e& enterprise’s unified integration APIs, businesses can incorporate multiple payment methods via a single interface.
This agreement facilitates the integration of PayPal as a payment option without requiring extensive IT development.
Businesses can connect to the e& enterprise Payments Gateway (EPG) to accept and process PayPal transactions efficiently.
Miguel Angel Villalonga, Chief Operating Officer of e& enterprise, said:

“Digital payments are changing how businesses operate and shaping customer expectations for speed, security, and convenience. Our collaboration with PayPal will provide companies with access to globally recognised payment solutions, helping them compete in the digital economy without significant infrastructure investment.”
Otto Williams, Regional Head and General Manager for the Middle East and Africa at PayPal, said:

“We’re pleased to bring PayPal to e& enterprise’s Payments Gateway, which supports major enterprises and government services in the region. With over 400 million active PayPal accounts globally, offering a trusted payment option helps businesses meet consumer expectations.”
The integration of PayPal is expected to benefit merchants by improving cross-border payment acceptance and expanding their customer base.
It will enable businesses in the UAE to reach international markets more effectively.
The collaboration also allows businesses to offer transparent transactions and provide customers with the option to track their environmental impact and contribute to carbon offset initiatives.
e& enterprise anticipates that PayPal’s global network will help merchants increase electronic exports by improving cross-border transaction authorisation rates.
