Careem Pay has expanded its remittance service to Canada and Bangladesh, allowing residents in the UAE to send money directly to bank accounts in these countries.
The platform already supports transfers to over 35 countries, including major remittance corridors such as India, Pakistan, Europe, the UK, and the Philippines.
Careem Pay can complete some transfers in as little as seven seconds. Careem Plus members receive preferential rates.
Customers can transfer up to AED 150,000 per transaction to Canada. Customers can transfer up to AED 450,000 per month to Canada.
For Bangladesh, customers can transfer up to AED 90,000 per transaction. The monthly limit for Bangladesh transfers is AED 200,000.
Customers can send funds in Canadian Dollars (CAD) directly to Canadian bank accounts.
Customers can send funds in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) directly to Bangladeshi bank accounts.
New customers transferring AED 2,000 or more to Canada can receive 1% cashback, up to AED 100. They must use the code “CANADA”.

The new corridors coincide with the holiday season, when remittances from the UAE typically increase by 20%.
Careem Pay’s platform allows users to conduct international money transfers, peer-to-peer payments, bill payments, and other wallet services.
To make a transfer, users can open the latest version of the Careem app and select ‘Pay’ on the home screen.
