Adyen is expanding its partnership with SAP to launch SAP Unified Payment, a natively embedded solution that connects digital storefronts directly to the financial backbone of the enterprise via SAP Commerce Cloud.
The integration replaces fragmented third-party gateways with a single financial stack. It targets the operational complexities brands face when managing multiple local banks and disparate payment processors.
Built on Adyen’s global platform, SAP Unified Payment uses artificial intelligence trained on over a trillion dollars in global transactions.
This enables the system to optimise authorisation routing and proactively block fraud.
It also uses dynamic identification to recognise loyal customers across different channels without adding friction to the checkout process.
The product features a native synchronisation with SAP S/4HANA and enterprise resource planning systems.
This setup provides real-time settlement visibility and automated reconciliation for businesses scaling across borders.

“By moving away from fragmented vendor management and adopting a single platform, businesses finally gain a clear view of their data,”
said Roelant Prins, Chief Commercial Officer at Adyen.
He added that the system eliminates operational complexity, reduces fraud, and ensures that reconciling a cross-border transaction is as automated as a local one.

“By embedding enterprise-grade payments directly into SAP Commerce Cloud, we are helping customers simplify their payment setups, go live faster and drive higher performance and conversion at scale,”
said Balaji Balasubramanian, President and Chief Product Officer for SAP Customer Experience at SAP.
The launch reflects a broader shift in enterprise commerce, moving away from external payment gateways toward embedding financial technology natively into core business software stacks.
