Direct Debit System (DDS) has partnered with HSBC Bank Middle East to expand access to the UAE Direct Debit System.
The collaboration enables the bank’s corporate clients across the country to digitise their recurring payment collections and receivables.
The agreement provides businesses with access to the end-to-end infrastructure of DDS, which operates as a non-bank paperless direct debit platform in the UAE.
This allows corporate entities to onboard payers remotely and automate payment workflows. It also eliminates the need for physical cheques or manual follow-ups.
Through a single e-mandate, the platform supports digital mandate creation and automated electronic collections.
Businesses can set up recurring instalments on daily, weekly, or monthly schedules, giving them the flexibility to digitally amend preset amounts or defer individual payments.
To enhance security, the platform integrates UAE PASS digital signature capabilities for customer authentication, reducing errors caused by signature mismatches.
Corporate users also gain real-time visibility into mandate activation, transactional updates, and failed payments.
The platform features an application programming interface (API) library that lets enterprise users embed direct debit functionalities directly into their software systems.
This infrastructure supports various sectors with recurring billing needs, including real estate, utilities, education, insurance, and automotive leasing.

“We are pleased to collaborate with DDS to enhance digital collections capabilities for businesses across the UAE,”
said Kyle Boag, Regional Head of Global Payments Solutions MENAT at HSBC.
He added that the solution helps deliver secure direct debit systems that support evolving client needs.

“Together with HSBC, we are accelerating the adoption of direct debit across both public and private sectors,”
said Ummair Butt, Founder and CEO of DDS.
He noted that direct debit infrastructure will become a foundational component of the cashless digital economy in the UAE.
