First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has launched the Jaywan Debit Card for domestic payments.
Al Etihad Payments manages the national card scheme, which the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) backs to support the UAE’s sovereign payment infrastructure.
The debit card enables customers to make in-person transactions at local merchants, withdraw cash from ATMs across the country, and make online payments on UAE-based platforms.
It integrates with the FAB Mobile app, allowing users to monitor transactions, access digital servicing tools, and manage their accounts.
Security features include 3D Secure authentication and Chip and PIN technology. The card also supports tokenised integration with digital wallets for contactless payments on supported devices.

“The Jaywan Debit Card reflects FAB’s commitment to delivering secure, innovative and customer-focused payment solutions that support the UAE’s evolving financial ecosystem,”
said Futoon Al Mazrouei, Group Head of Personal, Wealth and Business Banking at First Abu Dhabi Bank.
The Jaywan Debit Card is currently available to customers with eligible FAB accounts.
Existing clients can apply through the bank’s mobile app or branches, while new customers must open an account before requesting the card. Elite and Private Banking clients can also apply through their relationship managers.
