OCTA has raised US$3.5 million in a seed round led by Middle East Venture Partners, bringing its total funding to US$5.6 million.
Wa’ed Ventures, Plug and Play and A-typical Ventures participated alongside existing investors Sukna Ventures and Sadu Capital.
The company has also launched OCTA Flow, which uses AI agents to handle bookkeeping, reconciliations and month-end closing.
Accountants review and approve the output before it reaches clients.
More than 520 firms signed up for access within six weeks of the launch, with onboarding now underway.

“The accountant is still the protagonist. They own the client relationship, they understand the context, and ultimately they are accountable for the work.
AI changes how much of that work they need to produce manually. If we can give an accounting firm significantly more operating leverage, the firm itself becomes more powerful.”
said Jon Santillan, Co-founder and CEO of OCTA.

“For years, software was something a firm used to get the work done. AI makes it possible for the software to produce the work itself.
But in accounting, someone still has to review it, make the judgment call and stand behind the outcome. That puts accounting firms in a very strong position.”
said Nupur Mittal, Co-founder and COO of OCTA.
OCTA initially focused on accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Its platform processed 172,000 transactions in August 2026, which the company estimates freed up more than US$75,000 in billable capacity.
The company began operating in Saudi Arabia and the UAE before expanding into the US.
It plans to use the funding to strengthen its AI and engineering capabilities, automate more financial workflows and support further expansion.
In June 2025, OCTA secured a US$20 million credit facility from Sukna Fund to support embedded working capital financing for SMEs in Saudi Arabia.
