Invest Qatar has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Aurion Capital and LG NOVA to explore technology investment in Qatar.
Aurion Capital is a global investment group, while LG NOVA is LG Electronics’ innovation centre in North America.
The deal covers innovation programmes and support for companies in high-growth sectors.
These include AI, digital health and fintech, as well as digital infrastructure, sports, media and entertainment.
The partners also expect a new hub at Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP). It would serve as a regional base for ventures linked to LG NOVA.
The hub would connect innovators with investors and help firms expand across the GCC and wider MENA region.
Invest Qatar will work with both partners and national stakeholders to design the programmes.
It will also help companies linked to both partners set up or expand in Qatar.
Aurion Capital and LG NOVA may in turn use their platforms to help test and launch new technologies in the country.

“Our mission is to mobilise capital and strategic resources across America, Asia, the Gulf and emerging markets to create enduring economic value and accelerate the growth of transformative technologies,”
said Ali Diallo, Founding CEO of Aurion Capital.

“The next technology evolution, driven by AI, is creating extensive opportunities for new business and industry growth, across all sectors,”
said Sokwoo Rhee, EVP of Corporate Innovation for LG Electronics and Head of LG NOVA.
