Vodafone Qatar has selected tpay as its direct operator billing (DOB) aggregator following a competitive request for proposal (RFP) process.
DOB allows consumers to pay for eligible digital products and services with their mobile number.
Under the agreement, tpay will link Vodafone Qatar’s billing system with the merchants and digital service providers that offer this payment method.
Businesses that want to offer DOB to Vodafone Qatar customers will connect through tpay.
According to the operator’s results for the first half of 2026, it serves 2.1 million mobile subscribers.
The partnership between the two companies began in 2018. Since then, they have worked together on several digital payment and service launches, including Google Play and the Apple App Store.

“We look forward to building on this successful partnership and creating even more opportunities for merchants and digital service providers to reach consumers in Qatar,”
said Işık Uman, Group CEO at tpay.

“Appointing tpay as Vodafone Qatar’s exclusive Direct Operator Billing aggregator further strengthens our partnership and reflects the trust we have built together,”
said Baran Yurdagül, COO at Vodafone Qatar.
tpay operates across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. It is now expanding its payment network into Asia, where it aims to connect businesses with local payment methods and mobile operators.
