Visa has added support for Jaywan, the UAE’s domestic card scheme, to its Visa Acceptance Platform for online transactions.
With this update, participating merchants, acquirers and payment service providers on the platform can accept eligible Jaywan debit, credit and prepaid cards online.
Operated by Al Etihad Payments, Jaywan can now be offered as a payment option across a range of digital commerce use cases.
The Visa Acceptance Platform combines payment acceptance, authentication and tokenisation in a single platform.
It helps businesses accept and manage digital payments, including card-on-file payments, recurring transactions and digital wallets.
For Jaywan cards, the platform will support card-on-file network tokenisation through Visa’s Token Management Service (TMS).
Visa said this will help businesses securely manage recurring payments, subscriptions and other online transactions.
In March 2025, Al Etihad Payments and Visa announced an agreement to jointly introduce Jaywan-Visa debit and prepaid cards.
These cards allow holders to make payments globally through Visa’s network. The latest integration extends Jaywan acceptance further through the Visa Acceptance Platform.

“Enabling Jaywan on the Visa Acceptance Platform embeds the UAE’s domestic card scheme further into the infrastructure supporting digital commerce,”
said Andrea Cianchetti, Chief Products Officer at Al Etihad Payments.

“By enabling participating merchants, acquirers and payment service providers to support Jaywan through the platform, we are helping expand payment choice while delivering the secure, reliable and seamless experiences consumers and businesses expect”
said Fadi Moukaddem, Regional General Manager for UAE, Kuwait and Qatar at Visa.
