Emirates NBD announced that its mobile banking app is now available on the Huawei AppGallery, providing its customers with added choice and flexibility.
The partnership places Emirates NBD’s mobile banking app on what Huawei claims to be the world’s third-largest app store that has over 500 million monthly active users.
Emirates NBD’s mobile banking offers safe and secure on-the-go banking convenience allowing users to carry out their daily banking transactions or apply for new products easily. New customers can open accounts instantly by simply scanning in their identification documents.
Existing users can carry out a variety of transactions such as sending money to friends and family using DirectRemit or mePay services, make bill payments to over 30 utility and other providers, update contact details, block lost cards, request for statements and cheque books or apply for a new loan or credit card.
The Smart Pass soft token generator within the app enables customers to authorise digital transactions using high encryption standards, offering strong two-factor authentication as an added layer of protection.
These features are further reinforced by the Huawei AppGallery, which provides a safe platform for finance apps through its full-cycle security and protection system. This ensures developers are verified and all apps in the marketplace are secure and maintain the data privacy of users.
Suvo Sarkar, Senior Executive Vice President Retail Banking & Wealth Management at Emirates NBD said,
“We are pleased to partner with Huawei to make available our mobile banking app in the AppGallery. With customers becoming increasingly digital and mobile first, this will enable all our customers to easily access our state-of-the-art mobile banking services to carry out their daily banking requirements conveniently and in a secure manner.”
According to Lu Geng, the Vice President, Middle East and Africa Global Partnerships & Eco-Development of Huawei Middle East, “the addition of Emirates NBD highlights the rapid growth of our portfolio of banking and financial apps now available on the Huawei AppGallery”.
