Mambu will connect Mastercard to its Intelligent Core. This will give banks in the Middle East using its platform a pre-built way to offer cross-border payments.
Mastercard Move is a set of Mastercard tools for sending money around the world. Intelligent Core is Mambu’s cloud-native system for core banking and payments.
The companies said the link will make it simpler for banks to add cross-border payments. It should also help them launch these services faster.
Banks will be able to offer these payments within their digital banking services. According to both firms, this will make the process smoother for customers.
The partnership builds on Mambu’s expansion into payments following its acquisition of Numeral in 2024.
The firms said the deal will help banks build cross-border services for small businesses and retail customers.
They added that demand for clearer and simpler payments abroad continues to grow.

“Adding cross-border payment capabilities shouldn’t require financial institutions to take on years of integration work or rethink their entire tech stack,”
said said Fernando Zandona, CEO at Mambu.

“Mastercard Move combines global reach with trusted money movement capabilities to help financial institutions meet those expectations,”
said Pratik Khowala, Global Head of Transfer Solutions at Mastercard.
Mastercard says the service moves money across more than 200 countries and territories in over 150 currencies.
It reaches more than 17 billion endpoints and 95% of people worldwide who have a bank account.
