Huru is launching its card on Jaywan, the UAE’s domestic card scheme, under an expanded partnership with Paymentology.
The Emirati-owned salary and payments app says AED 3 billion in annualised salary flows now pass through its accounts, with more than 24,000 employers using the platform to pay staff.
Paymentology will continue to provide the processing technology behind Huru’s card programme.
What the Huru Jaywan card adds
Al Etihad Payments, a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the UAE, operates Jaywan, which routes, authorises and processes card transactions within the country.
Huru says adding Jaywan will develop its card proposition and support the UAE’s push towards stronger domestic payments infrastructure.
The card sits alongside the app’s existing services.
Customers use Huru to receive salaries, make domestic and international payments, send money overseas, top up mobile phones and set money aside towards savings goals. The app is available in seven languages.

“Our role is to give Huru the processing flexibility and scale it needs to bring new capabilities to market quickly and confidently,”
said Nauman Hassan, Regional Director MENA, Paymentology.
A salary account that stays with the worker
Huru is pushing adoption of its Universal Account, an individual IBAN-based account tied to the customer rather than to a specific employer.
Customers keep the same account when they change jobs, which removes the need to repeatedly switch salary arrangements.
Huru is working with nine exchange houses to increase adoption. The company aims to reach approximately one million accounts over the coming year.

“Bringing Jaywan into the Huru ecosystem is another significant step forward, allowing us to continue evolving the Universal Account while giving our customers access to payment experiences that are increasingly aligned with the UAE’s own financial infrastructure,”
said Abhimanyu Girotra, Chief Executive Officer, Huru.
Huru launched in October 2025 with a focus on the UAE’s unbanked and underbanked residents.
