Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) has partnered with Qatar Airways Privilege Club, allowing customers to convert their Wala’a Rewards into Avios.
This offers more redemption options for DIB customers, providing access to travel and lifestyle benefits.
Through this partnership, customers can now exchange their Wala’a Rewards for Avios, which can be used for flights with Qatar Airways, oneworld® airlines, and partner airlines.
Avios can also be redeemed for seat upgrades, extra baggage allowance, bookings with Qatar Executive, packages with Qatar Airways Holidays, shopping and dining at Qatar Duty Free, and exclusive experiences within the Privilege Club Collection.
This partnership is part of DIB’s ongoing efforts to enhance its loyalty programme.
Customers earn Wala’a Rewards points through various banking activities, including card purchases, bill payments via digital channels, salary transfers, and financing solutions.
The introduction of Avios conversion further expands the programme’s benefits.
This addition gives DIB customers greater flexibility to use their banking rewards for premium travel and lifestyle experiences.
Sanjay Malhotra, Chief Consumer Banking Officer at Dubai Islamic Bank commented:

“The integration of Wala’a Rewards with Qatar Airways Privilege Club is a significant milestone in our loyalty programme, offering customers the opportunity to seamlessly convert their points into Avios for exceptional travel and lifestyle benefits.”
The collaboration is particularly beneficial for Qatar Airways Privilege Club members in the UAE, with 91 weekly flights between the UAE and Doha, including 35 flights each from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and 21 from Sharjah.
For every 20,000 Wala’a Rewards converted, customers will receive 1,000 Avios.
There is also a limited-time offer providing a 40% bonus Avios on all conversions until February 28, 2025.
