Turkish Airlines has partnered with Samsung to enhance its digital services, particularly in passenger baggage tracking.
From 1 December, travellers will be able to track their luggage using the Smart Tagged Baggage Service, powered by Samsung’s SmartThings Find.
This system allows for faster and more efficient tracking of misplaced or delayed baggage equipped with Galaxy SmartTags.
Passengers will also have the option to upload a photo of their luggage within the SmartThings Find app, making identification simpler.
The airline has indicated plans to expand the use of SmartThings Find beyond baggage, integrating location-based features into future passenger services.
Commenting on the collaboration, Turkish Airlines Chief Information Technologies Officer, Kerem Kızıltunç, said:

“We are delighted to partner with Samsung to leverage their cutting-edge technology for the benefit of our passengers. We will continue to strengthen our industry leadership with technological collaborations that prioritise guest satisfaction and set new standards for the aviation industry.”
Samsung Electronics Executive Vice President and Head of SmartThings, Jaeyeon Jung, added:

“Samsung is expanding the SmartThings Find experience through partnerships across industries to help customers stay connected and at ease wherever they are. We are delighted to work with Turkish Airlines to deliver a more convenient and streamlined travel experience.”
