Invest Qatar has launched a venture capital funding module on its digital gateway platform to streamline how startups secure institutional capital.
Developed in partnership with the Qatar Investment Authority, the new feature consolidates the discovery and application process into a centralised system.
The module allows emerging businesses to review the investment focus areas and eligibility criteria of participating funds.
Many of these venture firms are backed by the sovereign wealth fund through its US$3 billion fund of funds programme. Startups can use the platform to submit investment pitches directly to fund managers and access supporting ecosystem services.
By centralising these resources, the platform aims to improve transparency and efficiency for early stage companies seeking capital.
The initial rollout includes a network of participating funds such as B Capital, Greycroft, Speedinvest, and Shorooq. It also includes the Tech Venture Fund by Qatar Science and Technology Park.

“The module is the latest addition to our platform, built deliberately to simplify every stage of a founder’s journey,”
said Dr. Hamad Rashid Al-Naimi, Chief Strategy Officer at Invest Qatar.
“By bringing these funds together, we offer startups a clear, direct path from idea to institutional capital, with access to the resources needed to scale globally.”
The initiative forms part of a broader effort to position Qatar as a regional hub for technology and innovation.
By anchoring multiple international and local venture funds to a single digital portal, the agency hopes to lower barriers to entry. It also aims to make it easier for global founders to establish a presence in the Middle East.

“This module provides entrepreneurs with a centralised platform that enables them to have greater visibility of available opportunities and clearer pathways to connect with relevant fund managers,”
said Haya Al Ghanim, Director of Qatar Funds at the Qatar Investment Authority.
Entrepreneurs can now access the venture capital module through the digital portal to review criteria and formally submit pitches to participating investment managers.
