Animoca Brands has received approval to manage collective investment funds in Abu Dhabi. The approval covers its subsidiary, Animoca Asset Management (AD) Limited (AAM).
Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) is the international financial centre of the UAE capital.
Its regulator, the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), has granted AAM a Financial Services Permission (FSP). As a result, AAM may now manage funds in or from ADGM.
Animoca Brands is a digital assets firm. It builds and invests in technologies that include autonomous agentic AI.
According to the group, the permission extends its capabilities for institutional clients and supports its expansion in the Middle East.
In addition, the FSP supports the group’s broader plans. These include building blockchain infrastructure for institutions and connecting traditional financial institutions to decentralised networks.
The group is also developing tokenised assets and integrating agentic AI with Web3.

“It allows us to manage collective investment funds under a robust regulatory framework, bridging institutional capital with the future of the agentic web and digital assets,”
said Minh Do, Senior Executive Officer and Director at AAM.

“Its expansion into fund management strengthens the connections between institutional capital and digital assets within our ecosystem,”
said Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer at ADGM.
