Interpolitan Money has received in-principle approval from the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) for its Stored Value Facilities licence application.
The London-headquartered company plans to offer acquiring and issuing services to UAE merchants on a single platform. This plan still depends on final approval from the CBUAE.
In the UAE, the company already has operations in Dubai. It also has a separately regulated entity in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), called Interpolitan Money (DIFC) Limited.
This entity has been authorised by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) since August 2025. It holds permissions for Managing Assets and Advising or Arranging on Money Services.
The CBUAE application is a separate process. It covers proposed activities that fall under the Central Bank’s regulation.

“This approval is an important step, but it is not the end of the process. We now move into the next phase of build and operational readiness as we work to complete the remaining requirements ahead of final authorisation,”
said Rishi Patel, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Interpolitan Money.
During this next phase, the company will continue developing the systems, processes, controls and local operating capabilities required for its proposed UAE activities, working with the CBUAE throughout.
The approval forms part of Interpolitan Money’s wider international strategy.
Headquartered in London, the company also operates in the UAE, India and Canada, supporting activity across more than 160 countries and over 50 currencies.
Its services support businesses, family offices, funds and intermediaries operating across multiple jurisdictions and markets.
