Apex Group has signed a deal with Invest Qatar to grow in the country. As part of the plan, the fund services firm will open a regional office on Lusail Boulevard, in Qatar’s emerging financial hub.
Invest Qatar is the country’s investment promotion agency. Both sides unveiled the deal in New York, at a special Qatar Economic Forum held during the 2026 UN General Assembly.
After receiving a licence from the Qatar Financial Centre, the firm entered Qatar earlier this year. It has more than US$3.5 trillion in assets under administration.
The expansion is expected to create skilled jobs in fund and asset servicing. Funds from Qatar and abroad, including local venture capital firms, will also be able to use its platform.
Apex Group plans to use its Apex Digital 3.0 platform for fund servicing and digital assets. This includes tokenised investments, which are assets issued as digital tokens.

“Apex Group’s regional presence highlights the opportunities available to global firms seeking to scale across the region and benefit from Qatar’s growing financial services sector,”
said Sheikh Ali bin Alwaleed Al-Thani, CEO of Invest Qatar.

“Since receiving our licence from the Qatar Financial Centre earlier this year, we’ve seen strong demand for the services, technology and expertise that global asset managers, investors and institutions need to grow,”
said Peter Hughes, Founder and CEO of Apex Group.
At the new office, the firm will host a forum for regulators, investors, banks and law firms. It will also run training and graduate programmes.
The companies said the deal supports Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third Financial Sector Strategic Plan.
